FAAST Seminar – Pre-Ignition and Detonation February 29 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Join EAA Chapter 104 on February 29th for a FAAST Seminar at KVPZ.

Go to the event page for more details.

Pre-ignition and detonation are responsible for a significant number of engine failures in General Aviation aircraft each year. Pre-ignition occurs when the air-fuel charge ignites while the piston is still compressing the mixture. Detonation is a violent explosion process after the compression stroke near or just after top dead center. This seminar will acquaint pilots with the hazards of pre-ignition and detonation events.
