EAA Chapter 104

Friendship & Flying - For The Fun of It

Welcome to EAA Chapter 104

EAA Chapter 104  is  located in Valparaiso Indiana.  Our members meet the 2nd Monday of the month at  the Porter County Airport(VPZ).  Our meeting location  alternates every other month between hanger N38 and the  Eaa 104 Chapter Room.  Our  club gathering starts around 6:30 pm  with the official meeting starting at 7 pm.  The meeting lasts  for 30 to 45 minutes and is followed by informal presentations, socialization and Hanger Flying. You don't have to be a pilot or own an aircraft to join our chapter.   Joining is easy.  Simply attend one of our meetings, sign in as a guest and one of our officers will get you started.   Our annual dues is fifteen dollars.  Come out and join us at our next meeting, see what we are about, meet some new friends, do some Hanger Flying and have a good time!  Introductory EAA memberships are available.

Safety Seminar

Saturday, January 20, 2018, starting at 10:00 Central Standard Time

Title:  Enhanced Vision Systems
Select Number: GL0380024

Brief Description:

Background: The GAJSC has determined that a significant number of general aviation fatalities could be avoided if pilots were better oriented with respect to their operational environments. Weather, night, smoke and other obstructions to vision can compromise safety, especially when operating close to the ground. Enhanced and Synthetic Vision Technology – now available for installation in general aviation aircraft – could lower the number of reduced visibility accidents. Teaching Points: • Discuss the scope and safety benefits of enhanced vision technology. • Acquaint pilots with available resources. • Encourage pilots to adopt and maintain proficiency in the use of the technology.

Please Register for this event for wings credit.

 Supplies for the GI's

The Porter County Pilots Association and  EAA Chapter  104 are a group of people that provide a little token of appreciation to our men and women of uniform overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.  While we all want our GI's to come home safely, our GI's need more than just that notion.  We support our troops by sending them care packages twice a year, once at Christmas and once at Memorial Day.

Please visit the Supplies for  GI's web site for further information.
